Nyomka Gilai / Gilitzinski was born in Grodno in january 1908 to Yafa and Arie. When he was 9 years old his mother passed away. He first went to a Yeshiva for young boys and at age 11 to tarbut school. He joined Hashomer Hatzair. In 129 he came to Palestina. In 1932 he met Fania in Ein Shemer. They married and joined Kibbutz Gan Shmuel. They had two sons; Yosi and Ehud. Yosi was an officer in the Israeli army and was gkilled in Gaza in 1969. He left a wife Chana and a daughter Sharon. He was 25. The parents could never get over it and the mother died 7 years later from broken heart.? Ehud married and had 3 children. Nyomka passed away in 1994.
