Neil M. Fox from Seattle wrote: ...A letter I found this in my
basement 25 years ago ... It is from Wolf Berman, one of the leaders
of the Jewish community in Slonim, who unfortunately was murdered when
the Germans invaded. The envelope is addressed to my grandfather,
Fred Fox, who was born in Slonim in 1896. (he passed away in 1967) .
The letter is addressed to Mr. Stein, whose only son was bar mitzvahed
recently . I have no idea why the letter was sent to my grandfather
and no idea why it was not delivered to Mr. Stein, whoever he was....
( the letter is written in Slonim on October of 1938 and received in
Chicago in March of 1939).
